SERVING THE RECRUITING NEEDS OF THE FOOD MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY
Responsible
for coordinating duties relating to assigned line or area. These include and
are not limited to ensuring safe and environmentally sound work behaviors,
quality assurance, sanitation, master schedule attainment, line performance and
cost reduction. The Production Facilitator is responsible to ensure staffing
with proper knowledge and competency in order to achieve plant objectives and
adherence to company policies and procedures. This position requires a majority
of the time on the production floor coaching team members, auditing
expectations and problem solving. Must be willing to work any shift.
' Ensures production goals are met including MSA.
' Coordinates work schedules and training for team members
' Acts as the first management point of contact for employee issues. Provides
feedback to team members through ongoing coaching sessions, and semi-annual
performance reviews.
' Conducts shift hand off meetings, encouraging employee participation.
Promotes positive employee relations. Participates in supervisor hand off.
' Recommends measures to improve sanitation methods, production methods,
equipment performance, and product quality as well as cost reduction.
' Approves employee KRONOS timekeeping records, conveys company policies to
workers, and leads team on safety and quality initiatives.
' Plans schedules when adjustments, repairs, or modifications are necessary.
' Works with other departments to ensure proactive communication and problem
solving.
' Communicates with other facilitators and members of management.
' Collects, analyzes, and interprets equipment, sanitation and production data,
monitors results, and presents information to other supervisors and managers to
help identify areas to make changes in methods and procedures to improve
equipment, sanitation and production performance.
' Actively involved in NCE/TPM program, which includes leading, providing and
interpreting information and taking part in problem solving.
' Adhere to all safety practices and enforce safe behaviors from all team
members. Support BBS process. Assure process are run in accordance with SOP's,
SSOP's and that associates have the required level of safety training, all
equipment and installations are well maintained with safety guards and devices,
and associates are using appropriate PPE.
Applicant should have computer experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and
Microsoft Outlook) including automated factory systems including SAP, as well
as strong written and oral communication skills. The preferred candidate will
have excellent manufacturing skills including knowledge of Statistical Process
Control, NCE and TPM concepts, and overall good manufacturing practices. The
ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls
(PLC), Pneumatics, and Electrical Controls.
Prefer B.S. degree or equivalent work experience in food processing,
sanitation, packaging or quality assurance as well as successful supervision
experience. Candidate must have the flexibility to work variable shifts and
days of the week.
